The Leadership of Esan Youths Campaign - Esanyocam​n commend the leadership of Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations (CONGOs) for creating enablement for today’s protest to seek justice for Benson Obode who hail from Esan North East Uromi​ was murdered by the police on the 21st May in Benin City upon his arrest on that same day.

We are saying NO to extra judicial killings in our land. Those officers who involved in this gruesome murder of this enterprising young man should be brought to book. As we continue the struggle to ensure the right of citizens is protected, we urge every well meaning Nigerians to emulate the spirit of fight for their rights anywhere anytime. Today is Benson Obode, tomorrow it may be me or you if we fail to fight for our rights. I sincerely thank every other comrades that stood on the ground seek justice.

Always remember, injustice anywhere is a threat justice  everywhere.
